The blower motor resistor is probably shorted and/or burned out. There is a new updated wiring harness with resistor available to repair the problem. You are better off buying the new updated part with harness, it would prevent future repairs to the same part. It is fairly simple to diagnose at a dealer or a independent repair shop. Repair could run $250.00 or so. If a/c compressor comes on, fuse is ok just to let you know.My a/c fan switch on my 2005 jeep Grand Chkee stopped working. compressor come on, but fan control wont work?
check the fuse
