He looked as tickled as a little kid when he invited all the think tank pundents to Camp David for a meeting. Then snuck out and flew to Baghdad. So what do you think of last nights End Game??? I was surprised how little control the C%26amp;C had over the War?
Please don't blame him for sneaking out. Wouldn't you do the same? I know I would.
I sneak out of my Middle East class because the professor is a neocon who makes me read Leo Strauss. So what do you think of last nights End Game??? I was surprised how little control the C%26amp;C had over the War?
Why did the South lose the civil war . Under funded ,undermanned ,and the north raped ,murdered ,and burned the towns to the ground killing as many civilians as possible .
This broke the troops who tried to defend their own homes and families .
This allowed an easy victory for the north .
War is nothing to enter into lightly or be considered a civilized act .
Its purpose is to break the will of the people who oppose change ,reducing them to absolute poverty and inflecting deaths in sufficient numbers to force them to capitulate to any demands made by the victor in order to eat and have sex again . No eating or sex is possible during a war .
The north quickly provided prostitutes and booze for the men to insure victories and continued loyalty . Encouraged the rape of women and young ladies and killing of the families . This broke the southern soldiers will as he was never able to reach northern town in sufficient numbers to inflict the same damage and morale busting assaults on the northern States .
If you notice most defenders do not win . Its is the attackers who usually win in a war .
Germany and Japan where simply out numbered and spread to thin to control the lands they captured . They simply could not defend them after the initial attack .
We can not hold Iraq any longer and should never of tried an occupation .
We should of found Saddam and his top officials and left .
Then let Iraq rebuild on its own .
We ';lost'; the war to democratize Iraq into some friendly oil-supplying ally about about 3.5 years ago...
Funny, only recently does the Pentagon realize that too few troops were in place to actualy control Iraq...
Though not discussed last night, Bremer's disbanding of the Iraqi Army was singularly the worst mistake, followed by our assumption of no insurgency.
Even I, as a layperson, accurately predicted prior to the invasion, a guerilla conflict. Further, as rational humans, we should be impressed and learn lessons from the success of guerilla warfare, though we had lessons from the past (Viet Nam; US Civil War, our own Revolution)
