Cannot delete Vista Firewall Control from my c drive?

I'm not able to delete this program because it states I need permission to do so,however, I am the administrator of this computer . Anyone have any suggestions?Cannot delete Vista Firewall Control from my c drive?
When unistalling Vista firewall control. It needs to be shut off first. So that is why you may of had problems. I would download Vista Firewall control and reinstall it. Then unistall it the right way. They have the correct way posted. You also Say it still shows Vista firewall control is running? What is It? Do you mean the security center in Vista? If so, that's may not be right. There a problem with some firewalls still showing after they are gone. This is a problem with the WMI repository in Vista.


You need to repair the WMI repository in Vista. .


Open an elevated Command Prompt. To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.


Type the following command and press ENTER:


winmgmt /salvagerepository


If the command was successful, you should see the message WMI repository has been salvaged. Restart Windows and see if the Security Center issue is resolved.


I went to Spinx, that's where I saw the uninstall instructions. If you go there and then go to the F A Q you will find the uninstall instructions. If you do a fresh install and then follow the instructions it should do it. You could also get a program called Revo uninstaller which does a good job at removing programs. It won't work if it cant' find the program, so even using it you would have to reinstall. Also when using it, make sure you understand the deleting registry key section.

if you can locate the uninstall file (in program files) then right click it and choose Run as Administrator. Give your permission to continue and uninstall it.
